Job description

HEC Research is the research unit of HEC Liège. It includes more than 100 FTE researchers (faculty, senior and junior scientists) who are active in various fields of economics and management science. As part of its strategy, HEC Research aims to strengthen its skills in applied econometrics and data analysis. The unit is therefore looking for a research engineer wishing to contribute his/her expertise to existing research projects within the already existing strategic research fields. Alternatively, applicants also have the opportunity to present their own research project so far that they also devote part of their working time to supporting existing research projects with data analysis and methodological assistance.

HEC Research is subdivided into 7 subunits associated with strategic research fields in which the school has significant experience and a critical mass of researchers, publications, teaching and corporate collaborations, namely, Asset and Risk Management (ARM); Changing Workplace and Strategic Human Resource Management (HRM); Economic Analysis and Policy (ECON); Marketing and Service Innovation (MSI); Social Enterprise and Business Ethics (SEBE); Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics (SCM); Sustainable Performance: Tax, Audit and Accounting (SUSP); as well as an 8th subunit that hosts some emerging fields of research. HEC Research also fosters collaborations in three transversal themes with a significant impact on our 7 research fields: sustainability (including CSR), digital and entrepreneurship.

The postdoctoral/research engineer position works under the administrative responsibility of the Research Director and will be monitored by PRISME (Interdisciplinary research pole in economics and management sciences, i.e. the research council of HEC Liège and management board of the research unit).
