Job description | In response to its continuous growth, IESEG School of Management invites applications for a full or part time position as Professor in Soft/People Skills on the Lille or Paris Campus. The selected candidate will be part of the Department “People, Organizations and Negotiation”. At the earliest, the starting date would be September 1st 2022, but can be postponed if necessary. More information about IESEG School of Management is available online at: http://www.ieseg.fr/en/ ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF “PEOPLE, ORGANIZATIONS AND NEGOTIATION” The department consists of around 35 full-time academic staff who teach and perform research in the areas of Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management, Organization Studies, Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Management. Our diverse body of permanent professors have recently published articles in international peer-reviewed journals such as Organization Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Negotiation and Conflict Management Research, International Journal of Conflict Management, Journal of Management Studies, Human Resource Management (Journal), Human Relations, Research Policy, Industrial Relations, Journal of Business Research, European Management Review, Human Resource Management Review, Journal of Business Ethics, and many others. ABOUT THE POSITION Next to offering students courses in business and management, IESEG also places a high emphasis on the soft/people skills development of students and their connection with business and the corporate world. The Professor will have the responsibility to coordinate and work closely with the different departments and tracks within the school (e.g., the humanities and intercultural track) as well as the Career Center in order to manage a People Skills curriculum valuable to future graduates in the job market. To further develop this axis, we are looking for a professor with the following responsibilities: Moreover, we are looking for candidates to either complement the above with research (securing publications in academic or practice-oriented journals, books or case studies) or a part-time professional activity outside of the school, related to soft/people skills. Importantly, applicants should embody the values of the school and be team players. Applicants should possess at least an MBA or Master degree (or a PhD for researchers) and should be fluent in English as nearly all courses at IESEG are taught in this language. Prior knowledge of French is a very important asset.
