|Job Title||Professor in Accounting / Finance|
|Address||City Campus, Howard Street|
|Desired education level||Doctorate or PhD|
With 250 academic staff and more than 6,500 students, Sheffield Business School is the largest modern business school in the UK, with ambitions to be the best in the country. As well as working towards AACSB accreditation, to go alongside our existing EPAS recognition, we want to be known internationally for excellence in scholarship and research.
The Department of Finance, Accounting and Business Systems has a progressive and innovative academic portfolio and a global reach and focus, through our transnational education partnerships and strong international recruitment. Our students benefit from our excellent links with employers and professional bodies - such as ACCA, ICAEW and CIMA - and from learning and teaching enriched by research and knowledge creation.
International collaboration and business engagement are also central to the department's research and knowledge creation strategy. Now we're looking for a professor to lead on the enhancement of research quality and impact across the department and deliver world class research and high quality teaching.
You will have an outstanding record of publishing research that can make a significant impact and the ability to drive to inspire others to do the same. With a profile of income generation and ideally a record of supervising PhDs, you will have the ability to lead in both teaching and research.
If you feel your work and passion for research fits with our plan we would love to hear from you.
