Job description

The Department of Finance, Accounting and Business Systems (FABS) has a reputation for collaboration and quality, with a vocational focus and strong links with professional bodies. Our team has a good blend of practical and academic experience - and now we're looking for enthusiastic and talented experts in banking and financial markets to join us.

You'll deliver lectures and seminars on a number of modules across the finance and banking subject group, including:

  • Understanding financial services
  • Credit analysis
  • Global investment banking
  • Strategic issues in financial services
  • International financial markets

You'll work with colleagues from across the University to develop and update teaching materials, and you'll also have opportunities to take up key academic rolls such as module leadership, work experience mentoring and personal advising to students.

You'll need:

  • a proven track-record of teaching / training in the area of banking and financial markets;
  • extensive knowledge of the theory, research and practice that underpins the area;
  • well-developed banking and financial markets knowledge;
  • a passion for teaching and research in order to deliver the best possible student experience.

We are keen to strengthen our research profile and a track record of publication, along with a strong research focus going forward would be an advantage.
