ABOUT THE POSITION

Research will be a strong focus of the selected candidate, who is expected to contribute to and inspire the vibrant research community at IESEG through a commitment to research excellence. The selected candidate will hold a PhD, have a strong publication record in top-tier refereed journals on topics connected to corporate sustainability, business & society, and/or climate strategy, as well as a good international network and a strong grounding in the research community.

In terms of teaching, the selected candidate will teach courses in corporate sustainability/business & society at the undergraduate, graduate and/or postgraduate level. In addition, the selected candidate will contribute to the development of the Department’s programs. As such, we are looking for candidates with strong teaching skills, and who are fluent in English, as most courses are taught in this language. Professional experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

Although not required, active working knowledge of French is considered an asset. For this position, the ability and willingness to interact with managers and the local (and international) ecosystems on key sustainability-related topics are indeed valued. The selected candidate would also inspire the further development of the sustainability profile and initiatives of the School.

Finally, we are looking for candidates who embody our core values of Accomplishment, Responsibility, Integrity, Solidarity, and Engagement, and fit our diverse and international culture in which 50 nationalities are represented. IÉSEG places tremendous value on diversity and inclusion, and we therefore encourage applications from all backgrounds. Underrepresented groups in academia (notably women, minority ethnic groups, people identifying as LGBTQIA+, people with a (non-)visible disability, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds and/or economically developing countries) are particularly encouraged to apply, as we are highly committed to ensuring that IÉSEG reflects and benefits from the diversity present in society.
