Job description

The Department of Marketing at Hanken School of Economics invites applications for a fixed-term position as Assistant Professor (in a 5-year tenure track), and a permanent position as tenured Associate Professor, starting January 1st, 2023.

We offer an energetic research environment with a strong international profile and close ties to the surrounding business life. The position is open for qualified candidates with solid potential for a successful scientific career. In Hanken’s tenure track, Assistant Professors obtain an employment contract for a fixed term of 5 years. After this 5-year term, you will have the opportunity to advance to the tenured Associate Professor level, with a permanent contract, upon fulfilling the university’s criteria for career advancement in terms of high-quality research and publications, teaching, and service. Qualified candidates with a strong track record in research and teaching can also apply directly for a tenured Associate Professor position. Our research profile strongly builds on thought leadership in service management.

The candidate’s ability to create new scientific knowledge, with a high relevance for the corporate world, is a key priority.
